Escape the crowds

Sunshine Beach is a small, relaxed suburb at the south end of Noosa National Park. It has a 3km long white sand beach with the same name as the suburb. Sunshine Beach is an excellent spot for surfers, with great surf and few people. You’ll likely catch a wave during high tide when conditions are right.

Lifeguards patrol the beach, providing peace of mind when you go surfing or swimming. Keep in mind rips can be strong in this area. For those who like to fish, the shoreline offers deep longshore troughs for the perfect cast.

Noosa Coastal Track

Sunshine Beach is an access point for the Noosa Coastal Track in Noosa National Park. With a steep staircase, get ready to feel the burn; hiking up to the top to enjoy the cliffs of the National park. Continue onwards to Alexandria Bay, or head all the way to Noosa. Buses provide a shuttle between Noosa and Sunshine Beach regularly, which you can find at the Sunshine Beach Surf Club.

The Dog Off-Leash Area here is a great place for dogs and their owners. The sandy shores are a fun playground for dogs to run and play. The car parking is tricky with limited space but if you can get one your dog will have the best time frolicking in the waves here.Β
