Art and culture

The quaint little towns scattered throughout the countryside are proud to showcase local and national artist's work. In Eumundi, visit the Artisans Gallery or the Red Desert Gallery to view the beautiful, detailed Aboriginal art sourced from Western and Central Deserts. Pomona is home to the Pomona Railway Station Gallery. While Cooroy brings the Cooroy Butter Factory Art Centre which not only showcases art but also doubles as a workshop and events venue. Montville and Maleny are two charming country towns worth taking a day trip to. The local produce on offer will leave you spoilt for choice, with options like fudge, cheese and wine at your fingertips. Gardner Falls

While you're visiting Maleny, stop at Gardner Falls for a refreshing break. The walk to reach the falls is short and will take you directly to the cascading waterfall. Pack a picnic and enjoy some time in this relaxing by Gardner Falls.

Bellingham Maze

A day trip to Bellingham Maze is a unique experience and what feels like something out of a movie. This astonishing hedge maze has been formed by lily pillies, with other small mazes surrounding it to explore. 

Lake Baroon

Lake Baroon is a beautiful, natural spectacle in Montville. This quiet, secluded lake is perfect for swimming in, for a picnic stop or to canoe along. With a restaurant overlooking the lake, stop by for lunch with views across the water.

Yandina Ginger Factory and Market

Yandina is a cute little sleepy town on the Sunshine Coast and is known for its ginger factory. Visit the factory to learn about the process or to ride the cane train through the tropical gardens. On every weekend, the town hosts the farmer's markets, which brings out a mix of second-hand goods, plants and fresh produce.

Mount Coolum

Explore some of the region's incredibly fresh produce at Hinterland Feijoas. The farm grows and makes some of the best gourmet feijoa products and gifts, serving up cakes, tea, coffee and light meals. It is open on weekends for you to stop by for some delicious produce. 

Cooloola Berries

Handpick your own berries at Cooloola Berries, with strawberries in season over winter and blueberries over the summer. After, stop by the cafe for homemade ice cream, desserts and light lunch options

Noosa Trail Network

Explore the Noosa Trail Network throughout the countryside made up of eight trails to walk, mountain bike or horse ride through. The trails are a fantastic way to explore the natural landscape passing by valleys, creeks and forest.
